Terms of use

Reuse of what is published here has limits, and so does what visitors may post.

Use of the site

Short Drama Guide is run by Black Ember Labs as a reference site for personal, non-commercial use. Linking and quoting short passages with attribution are welcome. Search-engine indexing of public pages is expected; the robots.txt file states what may be crawled.

Automated bulk collection is not permitted: scraping the catalog, harvesting pages at volume, republishing listings, or mirroring the data, in whole or in part and by any means, requires prior written permission.

Posting

The discussion under each show, cast and Find my drama page takes posts, replies, star ratings and likes without an account. Whoever posts keeps the copyright in their words and grants Short Drama Guide a license to display them on the site for as long as the site runs, and to remove them at any time.

Posts are checked before they appear, and a post that readers report is hidden. A post that targets a private person or advertises something comes down, and the device behind it can be blocked. Ratings and likes are one per device.

Nothing posted is endorsed by the site. A post that turns out to be false or infringing comes down on notice.

Copyright

The editorial writing on this site, the hooks, synopses, verdicts, guides and list blurbs, is original, human-reviewed prose and is protected by copyright. Facts such as episode counts and listed prices are free to use; the sentences describing them are not. Republishing editorial text without permission is infringement.

Poster and cast imagery originates with the platforms and rights holders it is attributed to, and is used here for identification alongside sourced information about their shows.

Takedown and contact

Takedown requests and corrections go to [email protected]. A useful notice names the exact URL and the material in question and states the sender’s claim to it. Valid notices are honored.

Posts and ratings left by visitors come down at the same address, whether the request comes from their author or from someone they concern. What gets stored alongside them, and for how long, is set out in the privacy notice.
