Costume power fantasy, and unusually front-loaded even by the standards of the form. The lightning strike lands in the opening beats, the imperial protection follows almost immediately, and what remains is a long sequence of confrontations that Lila cannot plausibly lose. That is the appeal on offer here: a child who outranks every adult who wronged her family, collecting apologies in public. The engine is revenge and public comeuppance rather than romance, with a line of foes assembled to be defeated. The only counterweight is a youth unbothered enough to tease her, which the show treats as a real event. Fifty-four episodes, ten free.
Verdict
Wish fulfilment played completely straight, with the ceiling reached early and held. The domestic violence that opens it is startling next to everything around it, and the vengeance arrives so fast that little tension survives it. Best suited to viewers who want the satisfaction without the wait; the premise leaves no room for a credible threat.
